Tumbleberry Town

Privacy policy

Last updated and effective: 2 October 2026

Tumbleberry Town is a learning game for children aged 3 to 7, made by Tumbleberry Town, an independent developer ("we", "us"). This policy covers the Tumbleberry Town app on the App Store, Google Play and the Amazon Appstore, and this website, tumbleberrytown.com.

We built the game so that it does not need to know anything about your child, and it does not.

The short version

What the app keeps on your device

To remember where your child is, the app saves a small file on the device: the age you chose in setup (3, 4, 5, 6 or 7+), the cartoon character your child picked, the learning level for each skill, which games have been played and on which day (for the weekly summary in the grown-ups' corner), coins, eggs, stickers, creatures, clothes, garden and room decorations, sound settings, and whether the full version is unlocked.

This information is used only to run the game on that device, for example to choose the next level. It never leaves the device, and we cannot see it. It contains no name, photo, voice recording, email address, location, contact details, advertising identifier or other device identifier.

Deleting the app deletes the file. "Reset progress" in the grown-ups' corner clears the learning progress.

Purchases

The full version is a one-time purchase made through the App Store, Google Play or the Amazon Appstore. The store handles the payment and keeps its own records, under its own privacy policy. The app only asks the store whether the unlock has been bought, so that it can open the games; "Restore purchase" asks the store again. If a purchase needs a parent's approval in the store (for example Ask to Buy), the app waits for the store's answer. We never receive your name, payment details or store account details.

What the app stores show us

Like every developer, we can see the reports each store provides, such as the number of downloads and purchases by country, and crash reports from people who have chosen in their device settings to share them with developers. These reports are collected by the store under its own privacy policy, are anonymous or aggregated, and do not identify you or your child. We use them only to fix problems and improve the game.

When you contact us

If you email support@tumbleberrytown.com, we receive your email address and whatever you write. Our email provider (Cloudflare Email Routing) forwards the message to our inbox. We use it only to answer you. We never add you to a mailing list, and we delete the conversation once it is no longer needed to help you. Please do not send us your child's personal information.

Children's privacy

The app is made for children under 13. It does not collect personal information from children, as the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) defines it, including persistent identifiers, so it does not need or ask for parental consent to collect data. The same design is how we meet the GDPR and UK GDPR and the UK Age Appropriate Design Code.

Buying or restoring the unlock, outside links (this page and our support email) and the grown-ups' settings are all behind a parent gate, so a child cannot reach them by accident. If you think a child has sent us personal information, for example in an email, contact us and we will delete it.

Third parties

The app contains no third-party advertising, analytics, social or tracking code. The only outside code is each store's own purchase system, used only for the unlock. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising or profiling.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK, California or another US state), you have the right to ask what personal information a company holds about you, and to have it corrected, deleted or handed to you. The app gives us no personal information, so we hold none from it. If you have emailed us, you can ask at any time to see or delete those emails, and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

Your child's information stays on the device, protected by the device's own security. The app sends nothing over the internet, so there is nothing of yours for us to lose.

This website

This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking, and loads nothing from other companies. It is hosted on GitHub Pages; like any web host, GitHub may log visitors' IP addresses for security, under GitHub's privacy statement.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date. We will never start collecting personal information from children.
